Spore Creature creator was released June 17th so like... 3 days ago. I just tried it today and now I can't wait for the full game. It's looked awesome since I first heard about it several months ago and the development seems to be coming along nicely. Too slow if you ask me but I'm impatient. At least now you can pre-order. The pre-release is set for Sept. 7th 2008. The picture above is a little guy named Smimtee who I whipped up in about 10 minutes. If you haven't tried it out I'd suggest you head over to http://www.spore.com and give it a shot. The full Creature-Creator is selling for $9.99 but if you're not sure about this whole "Spore thing" you can get the trial version for free, it's the same thing except you're very limited on parts to choose from. I'm personally apprehensive about dropping $10 on the creator when I know I'm gonna buy the full thing in September so I went for the free. It would be nice if you could preorder and then get Creature-Creator for free right away. Unfortunately, that doesn't appear to be the case.
