Nemo Me Impune LacessitSubmitted by Charlie on Fri, 01/18/2008 - 02:24 |
Terse jitters, apple fritters, naked forays through illuminated hallways, mental recollections of demented dimensions, of time and space, your face, my face, fact, fiction, fruitless friction, resounding, recounting my reminiscent floundering. I'm drowning. Air, quickly leaking. Into the sink I'm sinking only to find you singing--sweetly serenading as I swirl unceremoniously into this vortex of truth and untruth couth and uncouth, vodka and vermouth, and suddenly I lost my youth. The boyish curiosity replaced by a necessity, a fear of uncertainty that drives me to complacency. for my own survival I trade my means and reason to do so. So excuse me while I request revival, a simple smile, a revelry to rival the doldrums' cold denial of anything resembling error and trial. Let me try, let me fly, but never will my spirit die.
